Amazing Fish with Transparent Head….

Fish With Transparent Head Filmed
Fish With Transparent Head Filmed

In France, way back when, with my sister, Audrey, we used to glue our little buns in front of the TV and watch every saturday, with sheer amazement the adventures of “Jacques Yves Cousteau”.

For those who don’t really know the man, he pioneered underwater documentary filming and every kid in France was in admiration before this captain and his crew of men in red beanie hats!

I think that every kid, in France, in the 80’s was a Cousteau fan.

Anyhow, today I saw a video that The Cap would have LOVED to see, but, since it is the very first time this fish is filmed, it would seem that Cousteau never saw this AMAZING fish!

It’s ok to let your jaw drop and be in awe before the wonders of this world!

Enjoy!!!!

Don’t play around aging your mom or wife!!!

Just playing with Photoshop

Just playing with Photoshop

Most people look at photoshop artists and photographers almost as they do plastic surgeons. We are a cheap make-belief safer alternative.

“They want us to zap zits, smooth gator skin, blend tones, fade and remove wrinkles, thin the chin, brighten the eyes, swell the lips, tuck the hips, whitten teeth, take back the years, time, that ruthless thief stole, with our mouse we render, temporarly, justice to the crime!”

Ask anyone that likes to tweak pictures, it’s more fun and challenging to age a mug than to doctor it!

Eve listened to the serpent, Adam listened to his wifee-wifee, we all are in the process of dying, like wet paint, our skin is sagging! (the solution is not Dr Botox FeelGood, not Photoshop, but check out John 17:3 ;)

In the mean time, I decided to be mean to myself and experiment a little fast forwarding….
Enjoy!

Yellow + Blue = Green

February 2nd, 2009

The Formula to the color green is simple: take some blue, take some yellow, a dab of red or black for extra shades and badabang you got it, green.

Well, if we pay attention to a field or lush trees, and sit there for a while, just watching and letting our eyes absorb what we see and let our brain analyze a bit what it receives, we might be shocked as to the insane variety of green there is on one patch of land!!

Here is picture that is…. Green… It could have been a simple green rectangle, if it wasn’t for allllllllll the shades available.

Green is Green, this is the average shade of the picture below.

WOW is RIGHT!!! Gotta love Green!!
Count how many shades of "green" you find on here and send me your results! ;)

Keep an eye simple, indeed, but focused!

January 27th, 2009

How much do we “really” need to be WOWed, to feel filled with satisfaction and plenitude?

How much is required to be in awe and feel overwhelmed?

The main requirement doesn’t come from the outside, but from within, is your mind, is your heart ready, willing and prepared to be stunned by the wonders of this world?

Aren’t these wonderful words such as awe, plenitude, satisfaction, overwhelmed describe emotions that all of us love to bath in?

Truly, it doesn’t take much, if, if you “keep your eye simple” and get it focused.

The more you expect, the more you need, the more it will take to feel a wave of such emotions, therefore, the least you expect and need, the easier it will be to reach such climax!

That’s when we need to focus, to focus on simple things.

Who notices the clouds in the sky?

Who watches them change shapes as the winds brush them?

Who pauses on the textures?

Who stares puzzled at the variety of ever changing colors the sun shines through them?

Sadly, not many people take the time to.

Focus on a buzzing bee sipping the sweet nectar of a beautiful lavender flower and spy on this hard worker as she collects the precious pollen and bee in awe in front of God’s awe-inspiring creation!

Sunset in Normandie

January 17th, 2009

A sunset flaunts its colors everywhere around the world at now!!

“It’s Sunset time somewhere!”

Isn’t that a interesting thought? As the earth spins, the sun is constantly setting somewhere. In the mountains, a forest, a desert, behind an ocean, on fields, a skyline of such and such city, on a country torn by war, on a land of opulence, with pyramids in the foreground or nothing more than a lonesome tree on a worn out hill…

I hope you enjoy this sunset in Normandie.

Yes yes yes, there is some photoshop tweaking on this picture, but really not that much! It really was stunning, I just made sure, the picture did justice to what really happened that evening, knowing that no camera can compete with the eyeballs God gave us!!

Enjoy :)

Everyone has a digital camera!! So What?!

January 5th, 2009

Nowadays, everyone has a dogital camera! So what?!

Nowadays everyone takes digital snapshots! Some take HUGE digital snapshots because the camera they own shoots 8 Mega Pixels, 10 Mega Pixels even more!!!

Let’s see a simple example of a picture taken with a digital camera an how Photoshop turns that very picture into something more appealing.

-Sharpening

-Saturation of colors

-Hue correction

-Skin smoothing

-Vignette

etc etc

“corrida” or “bull fighting” must be one of the most brutal and senseless form of animal torture.

No need to ask me my view point on this tradition, I think it’s dispecable and if you don’t think likewise, you may need to get your heart checked out.

In the meantime, and in the middle of my anti corrida rant, i’d like you to check out this picture that needs no Photoshop nor comments… These faces say it all!!
