I was wondering, when glamour photographs take pictures of models, the pictures always have some kind of effect. A very simple, kind of foggy looking effect. Like a shade, if you understand what I mean. I was wondering if it is ALL lightening or maybe an effect they put in photoshop. It makes their skin look special colored or special soft.

i have a canon rebel xti with tamron af 28-300 lens. But its not what i thought it would be. I want special effects on my pictures but i don’t know how. when i use it its the pictures seems that its taken from an ordinary digital camera. i wanna see the picture that i take standout that it really was taken from a dslr.

I have been using Sony Vegas Pro 8, I can do well with it, but it doesnt seem to have all the effects that other programs seem to offer.
I know it wont be easy to learn, but I learned photoshop and can do amazing things in it now, as well as Sony Vegas. Whats the difference between Premiere and After Effects?
I’m looking something more for cool special effects, and easier learn curve. I really dislike Sony Vegas rendering time, I have a very powerful system, and it gives me about 7-8 hours to render a 1280×720 video thats 40 seconds.

Well, I’m gona have an mtv project and I was hoping to make WHEN I’M GONE by simple plan. The question is, is it possible to make the SPLATS (when Pierre makes a subtle punch on screen) and light streaks (which follows the guitar’s movement)… effect on sony vegas with a blue screen? I don’t even have a blue screen! I was planning to set the band on a white bed sheet back drop and edit the whole thing on vegas. If you’re not familiar with the video, watch it here.

Also, is it possible to put a moving person in a billboard or in a magazine like in the video? Not being too ambitious or anything but I’m willing to learn how. Hey, I learned photoshop quite easily and I think it has a similar mechanics like uhm….masking….yeah vegas might be more than just editing images but I REALLY REALLY NEED TO LEARN THIS!
And I’m also gona make WOMANIZER by britney spears and IF I WERE A BOY by Beyonce. Some advices with these too?

I own an Intel iMac with 2gigs of ram. I do alot of stuf in After Effects, photoshop, and Final Cut Pro. My computer can handle them indidually but not perfect, especially After Effects. Best Metal Bands

I have Adobe PhotoShop 6.0 and Adobe Premier Elements 4.0. I am looking into getting After Effects now to do some special effects. I new to the whole video editing process. What version of After Effects should i buy? I saw 6.5 and 7.0 and the new CS3 that is supposed to be the 8.0. Some of them also say professional so im not sure if i should be getting that one. Please help me.
