What is the best photoshop software to edit my pictures? What stores can I buy it from? I want the kind that almost every scene kid uses to edit their pictures and make them look nicer.

I’m looking for software that tv studios/movie studios use to create credits that involve graphics and text. The specific effects would include zooming in on logos, fading to other scenes, logos bursting through, etc. Obviously I know that certain tv shows use special effects created with maya, 3ds max, lightwave, etc. I’m curious about the editing software for credits.
Bonus: Do they use software like photoshop and paint shop pro to create the graphics used?

I love editing photos but when it comes to using the software that I have I don’t know where to start. I know about all the simple editing things like the special effects, but I want to know some cool other ways that people use to edit their photos to make them look really interesting. How do they make the effects such as phaser beams on Star Trek or magic on Charmed or lightsaber blades on Star Wars. Is there a version of Photoshop that does those, i.e. for video?

whats the best software to add cool special effects & texts to my photos ? i dont want you to say adobe photoshop or acd see … i just want it to be different and easy to understand than adobe and i want as much as special effects and features i can get from a user friendly photo editing software .
