I am interested in photography and am looking into a digital SLR camera. Right now I have my eye on a KODAK Z7 IS Digital Camera with a 60x zoom. Is this a good camera or not? If not what is a good camera that is not too expensive that is digi and slr?

I recently got photoshop CS4 and I am far from expert in it, where is a place I could watch free tutorial vids with commentary? Im interested in making logos and making ellaborate images with many special effects.

I know Adobe Photoshop CS3 and Illustator and ImageReady (all from Adobe) are freakin awesome, but I’m poor and can’t afford awesome prgrams like that, are there any other less expensive coloring software which can color good and add special effects like big flashes of light? Like painting programs would be good, specially made for artwork to be colored.
